Six new sax players, three pianists, two drummers, one euphonium and a clarinetist … It sounds like we’re singing a partridge in a pear tree but in fact that’s the new members of the MEP so far for 2012, who signed up after attending our very successful Show and Tell event on Monday night. Welcome to the MEP all of you – and to anyone else out there who might be interested in being part of the program, get in touch! Where are the string players? Flutes? And surely there’s a trombonist or two out there in year 7. Playing music as part of the MEP is a great way to unwind after a sweaty school day and a great place to make new friends. Come along and give it a try! And don’t forget you don’t need an instrument or any special musical skills to join the choir – everyone’s welcome. The first rehearsal is tomorrow, Thursday, 3.30-4.30pm in C Block.
Thanks to the tutors who played at the Show and Tell on Monday night – it was a great reminder of the high calibre of the instrumental teachers at the school, and of the level of musicmaking our students can aspire to.
