Hi everyone,
Just thought I’d say hi from my week in Auckland with the Auckland Philharmonic. I am here as part of an intense learning week with a great conducting mentor – the APO’s Chief Conductor, Eckehard Stier.
It has really underlined for me the importance of having great mentors in your life to help keep you moving forward. This is something I have always tried to have in place for the students at Rose Bay with access to some of Sydney’s best conductors and tutors to guide the musical development of the program. I encourage all students to take advantage of the wealth of talent and experience that our musical team can provide. Also, remember learning is a life-long process and it really is exciting!!!
I am looking forward to seeing and hearing you all again on Monday. The next few months are going to be a very exciting time for the MEP!
Luke
