Ensembles concert and raffle – this Thursday!

A reminder that the Ensembles Concert is on this week – Thursday June 17. This is not only a fantastic concert but an important fundraiser for the music program. It’s a great event for immediate and extended family and friends – read on for all the information you need!

First,  we want to showcase the beautiful prizes we have for our raffle and thank everyone who contributed to the wonderful prizes.

One very exciting contribution is the beautiful handblown glass sculpture pictured above, made by Mark Eliott. ‘Bubble Tree’ was made in 2007 as part of a series of 12, originally exhibited at Sydney College of Arts. Other pieces in this series have sold for between $900-$1200.

Other prizes include a handpainted vase by local artist Fay Robinson, a jazz lovers’ package comprising concert tickets and cds, a new you package and other treats.  Be in it to win it! Tickets are $2 each or $10 for 6; the winning ticket will be drawn on the night. As well, if you think you can sell a few tickets to family, friends or neighbours or other people who won’t be at the concert, please get in touch asap – call Celia on 0414 432 944 or contact fundraising@rbscmep.net.

ALSO: We still need additional volunteers from 6pm to 7pm, to sell food and drinks and raffle tickets (it’s fine to volunteer your child if you can’t be there). And donations of food to sell – savoury slices as well as cakes, biscuits, treats … The other  really important way to help is make sure you don’t eat dinner before you come – buy it from us! (Non-meat options will be available).

Schedule

6:00pm – BBQ and/or soup and a roll for all parents/carers & students
6:45pm – All students are to be ready and seated with their instrument and ensemble in their specified area in the hall.
7:00pm – Concert Commences
